- I can go to IKEA any time I want to.
- We may finally get a place with an attached garage.
- I can learn about politics from listening to people talking in the grocery store line and not actually have to read about it myself.
- Lots of parks to take the kids to.
- I wouldn't have to drive an hour to get to Target.
- It would be closer for my parents to fly in to visit us.
- It would be cheaper for me to fly down to see my parents.
- We would still be living in a place that gets snow.
- Great job promotion for Hubbie.
- Access to consulate and families who speak Hubbie's language.
- I already have a "friend" living there, so at least I could meet her for coffee on occasion.
- Said friend can maybe get us an "in" at the preschool her son attends.
- I can stalk said friend and hopefully meet people through her. LOL

I never thought of how inconvenient it is to have unattached garage because I've always had one. Then we went to visit hubby's cousin and she had an attached one and she parked in it in the snow and got out all warm and dry and we walked into the house from there and suddenly I desperately wanted one. Sigh.
Thanks for stopping by my TT. Great list...
I followed you over from Sarcastic Mom. This is my first time with a T13 list. I decided to try for inspiration by reading others.
those are excellent reasons to move. Are there also 13 reasons not to?
Oh, DC is AWESOME!!!!! I vote yes! Move there! That will inspire me to get back into running so that I could maybe try the Marine Corps Marathon!
D.C. is an absolutely beautiful area - well, certain parts. and they all seem like good reasons!
I love DC... visited there twice already.
Thanks for visiting my TT.
Hey lady -
I live the DC area, too. Frederick, MD. Hubby has a mean commute every day down to Arlington, but what the heck. There's jobs everywhere here and lots to do, if you have the energy.
Maybe we'll do a coffee or two when you get here.
Peace - D
@AJ: Seriously! It is one of those things that you don't realize you are "suffering" until you see how good someone else has it!
@MilMom: Nope. I am sure I could think of some, but if his job transfer is out of my hands, I choose to be blissfully ignorant of the "why nots".
@CMGD: If you run that marathon, I'll buy you a coffee afterwards.
@RiverPoet: Dude, we are SO going to have coffee once I move! WooHoo!!
Well, we have "friends" there too and of course DH lived on Capitol Hill for a few years after graduating from American. :)
We'd most definitely come visit! :)
