Telling It Like It Is

My dad has been visiting us the past four days. I'll be taking him to the airport this afternoon, so while the kids were in school we went for hot pastrami sandwiches at a local bar.

On our way out the door my father informed me that I'd better not get too close to anyone or that I needed to brush my teeth again because you have elephant breath.

Sometimes, I really really love my family.

Ask him next time when he ever had the chance to smell an elephant's breath. Unless, of course, he has . . .

@CMGD: I know! I've been chuckling over it all day!!

@CoG: That is EXACTLY what my husband said! I am def going to ask him.

That is what family is for - brutal honesty. One of the reasons I live so far from mine.

I was wondering when he got, you know, um, "intimate" with an elephant, too.
