Mix Tapes Live!

There are few things that give me more pleasure in life than to have good theme-based music.

I admit it.

I am a sucker for the mix tape.

We all made them when we were kids. As we have grown older, the mix tape has evolved.

First, it was to CDs. Instead of recording tapes, we used our computers.

Now, with the advent of mp3 players, we have the playlist.

Same function. New incarnation.

So, in my high-strung OCD fashion. I have been working on a new project.

Meet Mix Tapes Live!

This is my way of organizing all the crazy shit that floats around in my head.

If people add to my lists in the comment section, groovy! I figure everyone needs a little musical inspiration every now and then. Enjoy!

Have you seen the movie High Fidelity with John Cusack? He carries on a commentary with the audience about top 10 song lists. Your post made me think of it.

I do the same thing with song lists too. I have a CD of songs for our bulldog puppy who died last year. Heartbreaking stuff there.

I used to use mix tapes as a vehicle to woo women. This was usually unsuccessful. I guess I should have just kept trying until I found the right one. Mix playlists are nowhere near as fun!
