WW: The Best Handyman in DC

This is what happens when your cheap landlord hires a sketchy handyman to fix the rotting wood on the bottom of the shed on the property you rent.

Are you serious?? I would be very peeved.

Well, hell, I think LittleMan and LittleBird could've come up with a better fix!

Lifecruiser said...

He went there and gone again fast as superman, right? *giggles*

RiverPoet said...

He nailed up plywood??? Geez, you couldn't done that yourself! WTF?

Sue said...

That's one way to fix it.

I think this handyman did his repairs without a loan. Very wise.

Excellent WW entry

Vixen said...

Wow, that is an awesome handyman (NOT). Can I borrow him some time?

Oh wait, you are too far away. Darn.

Coal Miner's Granddaughter said...

Oh. Wow. That's... special. That shed needs some neon paint. Definitely.

SandyCarlson said...

Wow. How does that handyman live with himself?

@Always: Thanks for stopping by my place!

@IrishKat: Peeved doesn't even begin to describe it.

@andbaby: I probably would have let them except for all the broken glass we keep finding in the dirt by the door.

@LifeCruiser: Actually, no. They lingered for TEN hours in my house while my landlord peered over their shoulder haranguing them. It was absolutely awful.

@RiverPoet: Yup. And replaced the rotting door with a brand spanking new interior door. It is already warped.

@Sue: It's fixed? :)

@Toraa: And without a license, apparently.

@Vixen: He services a tri-state area. You sure I can't give you his number?

@CMGD: Like it isn't enough of an eyesore?

@Sandy: He actually proudly asked me how I liked the job.

@Kat: In spades.

I know the point of this picture is to show what a miserly asshole your landlord is, but it's actually very artistic.

Matted and framed, it would be very nice. You got skillz.

Patois said...

Damn. But still a good picture. Is that any consolation?

Not Afraid to Use It said...

@K-mom and Patois: It is kind of you to say so. For me, it is the eyesore in my backyard that irks the shit out of me every time I see it. Maybe in a few years I might see something artistic about it, so I will reserve judgment until then. LOL

So ... let me get this right. Wood stops rotting if you nail a piece of plywood up in front of it.

Excellent! It'll save a lot of work now that we all know that!

To think we've wasted so much time over the years, removing the old stuff thoroughly, cutting back, and cutting the new wood to fit, then painting and finishing!

There's a chunk of our lives we won't get back!
