Just Can't Shake That Feeling

Ever have a dream and the emotion is so strong when you wake up that you just can't shake it?

I dreamed all morning that my husband left me for my sister. No, I have not been watching Jerry Springer, but I was channeling something nasty all night. Lots of fitful flipping around, and every time I fell back to sleep I was in the same dream.

I don't remember many images, but the power of the emotions has been overwhelming. The feeling of loss. Abandonment. Hopelessness.

My husband is my rock. I am basically married to a woman except that he has testicles. He cooks. He cleans. He irons his own shirts. He still gets up to do the diaper changes in the middle of the night even though LittleMan is no longer nursing. I am one lucky bitch.

There is no way on earth that Hubbie would ever leave me for my sister because she is a total nutter. I suppose the dream was just a little reminder of how much I love Hubbie and how much I need to appreciate him. I would be absolutely devastated without him.

It must have been the night for weird dreams. I was dreaming about some hunk of a man that I was about to have an affair with (something I would not do). I asked if he had a condom, and he handed me a little package. It was some kind of cover for the mouth that said, "prevents huffing and puffing."

I said, "Oh, you're the big bad wolf?"

Very, very odd dream. lol

Peace - D

It could also be your mind's way of dealing with Hubby being in DC while you're in GA. May be your subconscious working through the temporary separation.

I know. I hate those dreams. Whenever I have those "husband cheating on me with someone I know" dreams, I wake up exhausted and emotionally drained. They're never any fun.

You might want to check and see if hubby was whispering subliminal messages in your ear at night. ;)

You're hubby sounds pretty awesome, and it's nice to know you realize that. :) I hate dreams like that. I usually have them when *I* am the one needing to be reassured...

@Momma: Okay, totally picturing your dream with the background music of Little Red Riding Hood going on. Who's that walking in these woods? Well it's Little Red Riding Hood...

@CMGD: That could very well be it. I was really pissed at him when I went to bed last night, and that is really unusual.

@Worker Mommy: Yeah, he keeps whispering Quit being so fucking ungrateful...

@Andrea: That's probably right on the money.
