When Your Husband Doesn't Buy You Jewelry

When your husband doesn't buy you jewelry, leave it to your blog girlfriends to step up and do it right. Coalminer Heather just gave me this:

I love me some Heather, and she and her blog are a regular topic of conversation in our house. Even though Hubbie has never met her, he knows who Coalminer Heather is, and that the story I am about to tell is going to be a good one. So thank you a million times over woman! I appreciate the nod!

In the spirit of blog awards, I would like to give this award to Matt G over at Better and Better. I stumbled across his blog some time ago, and I have to tell you I really enjoy reading it. There is something about reading the inner-workings of a cop's mind and "a day in the life" that is better than anything they put on TV. After having lived in the South and reading, hearing and witnessing first hand the whole good ol' boy network that often exists amongst police officers, I was happily surprised how much I loved Matt's blog. He is honest and his writing refreshing. It is nothing like you would expect, and that is what makes his blog awesome. Check it out if you have the time.

Too funny! In our house it's "Not Afraid" blogged this and "Not Afraid" mentioned that. Awesome!

I'll have to check out Matt's blog. Thanks for the heads-up!

Patois, since I'm currently not really a jewelry kind of gal, yeah, better. :)

Much obliged for the kind words. I've not put up a brag award yet, but I've gotten a couple ("Thinking Blogger" comes to mind).

Selfish that I was, I didn't pass them on, either.

As a Treasure, I will try to keep myself up to your expectations and... try not to get buried. :)
