Time For A Quickie

The kids are asleep. Voyager is on. My dad is puttering around the kitchen. The internet is WORKING! I may actually get five minutes to blog! WooHoo!!

There has been so much going on the past few days, I do not even know where to begin. We have made the transition very well. The five hour flight was good in most regards, but I still had the urge to run screaming down the terminal once we deplaned. Five hours with a 14-month old bouncing up and down on your lap and the seat next to you takes a lot out of you. Everyone around me complimented me on how well the children had behaved. What they do not know are all the near misses when LittleMan lunged at the lady's head in front of me and trying to snatch a lock of hair off her sleeping head. Lunge. Grab. Whew, that was close. Rinse. Repeat.

All in all, it is nice to be here. I miss Hubbie a lot, but the past two nights have gone relatively smoothly at bedtime. Everything else is gravy at this point. LittleBird has had way too much crap to eat. But two weeks at the grandparent's house is what that is all about. My mom has turtle candies here at the house that I have been gorging on, and I found something called "sipping chocolate" hidden the back cabinet. Absolutely divine. And addictive. I will be meeting up with Coalminer's GD later on this week, and I think I will have to bring a little baggie for her to join in my addiction. Shhhhh. Here's my stash. Look left. Look right. Make the transaction. Don't show the kids.

I survived a trip to WalMart and Publix with my little ones. The rest of the afternoon will be spent in blogging bliss. As long as my battery lasts! It is good to be back! Hope you enjoyed this quickie as much as I did!

Ohhhh, quickies are awesome! Especially the quickies in the elevator or the public bathroom stall, or... wait. We're not talking about that kind of quickie, are we? Dang!

Can't wait to try out that sipping chocolate!

Considering you told me you were going to add me to the Evite list for Fi's party, I thought we were on the same page! LOL
