We lucked into tickets to the White House Egg Roll today. It was nice to be able to do something so unique to the D.C. area. The day was long and the lines, longer. I am not going to complain about our outing as I know how many people wanted tickets. To give you an idea, picture Disneyland on a cold spring day. Lots of strollers on bumpy grass funneled through tiny gated areas. With no food available. Limited bathrooms. Lines to get into line. My progeny were surprisingly mellow.
Here are a few snapshots from our day:

Close enough for ya? I get a snuggle from LittleBird--can you tell she is done?
We made a quick stop by Hubbie's job. Isn't he handsome in his suit?

What a memorable experience!
(OMG, dudette - you did the egg hunt thing? Did you happen to see Kal Penn? Because apparently Kumar was there, looking for eggs.)
Whoa. Sorry.
What I really meant to say is - what a fine looking family!

How great for you guys! And hubby in the suit? Hubba hubba!
I'm glad there weren't any meltdowns. Gah. I'm afraid Buddha would have had the secret service jumping.
AWESOME! That is so great that you and the kids had that opportunity!
