Asking For An Egging?

I'm too grumpy tonight to post cutsie pictures of the kids from this weekend. I don't feel like "mommy blogging," but I don't feel vitriolic enough to complain about anything important.

So I leave you with the jack-o-lantern photos I took of our neighbor across the street. I love that he carved this pumpkin. No one has egged his house, and I am glad of that. Truth be told, I would have found a McCain pumpkin just as interesting. I love that my neighbors feel passionate enough about their politics to be creative.

thats pretty awesome. we carved pumpkins, but not politically minded pumpkins (pictures posted tomorrow...)

i'm going to confess something here, because i think you will appreciate it. the rest of the world will think i'm aweful. so we have these neighbors. a lesbian couple. one of the women is really horrible to us and our other neighbors. constantly leaving signs on the door about how we park in the wrong places, play our music too loud, yell at our kid too much, and our dog apparently barks 24/7. ok. whatever. its totally not my goal to annoy people, but i find that this lady has pissed me off so much now that i'm going out of my way to do the things annoy her.

so, this election, in california, there is a proposition attempting to eliminate the right of same sex marriages. (prop8) i'm totally going to vote no on this prop, BUT i put a "vote yes on prop 8" poster in our window facing their house.

mean? meh. i'm going to be sad when i have to take it down after the election...

Very creative!

Two of our neighbors no longer return the wave when we drive past them, now that we have an Obama magnet on the car. I haven't been egged, but I've gotten a few looks.

Whatever. Tomorrow it will all be over, right? We hope?

Peace - D

@AFreeMan: I'll get a few up this afternoon. Feeling a bit more chipper today.

@HollyStar: I think that is hysterical. The sad thing is if you put out a Vote No sign up, they wouldn't believe it anyway. Let them look at the Yes sign and stew in their own prejudice and ignorance.

@RiverPoet: It's amazing how visceral people's reactions have been. And I include myself in that.

Love this! Come check out my latest post and see what my neighbors did to "Obamafy" their house. I'm so lame I didn't even carve pumpkins this year.
