Hubbie and I decided to take a snowboarding lesson yesterday. It was a sad testament to how old, out-of-shape and broken down we are. I had fun until I busted my ass. Literally. I think I may have broken my tail bone. When we rented the equipment they asked if I wanted a helmet for my head. No one told me I needed a helmet for my ass.
Here I am, the total poser. I look like hot shit, but I don't know my bindings from my stomp pad.
Here is Hubbie. I just love my man! He's a big poser too, but at least he can ski.
Here it looks like I am just chillin'. And I am. I am icing my bum after my fall. But I look cool doing it.
Hubbie actually did great. He didn't really fall in this picture, but he was D-O-N-E done.
One important lesson I learned is that most people look pretty sexy in their gear. Sunglasses are very forgiving. Just don't take them off if you want a girl to keep talking to you.
The other lesson was do not have someone buy you the coolest, latest snow gear if you don't know what the fuck you are doing. Watching beginners of all ages is sweet. Watching some asshole strut around with a thousand dollar board and bindings and then perform repetitive face plants just makes you look like an idiot.

What the fuck? Yeah. Snowboarding is not on my list of things to do.
However, I'd be happy to do a hottie shot with the board, boots, and sunglasses before heading for the tube line that will take my arse to the top of the slope for some serious TUBING!
I have always wanted to learn how to board or ski, but I am too chicken. Yes, I can get through basic training, but not skiing, Stupid I know. I could kick myself for living in AK for 3 years and not learning. Good for you for taking the chance and doing something different. And I hope your arse doesn't still hurt too much!!!
I would have spent considerably more time on my arse than in an upright position.
Looks like you guys had a great time though!!!
Dear Lord. I think I would have strapped on the board and just gone ahead and sat on my butt, all the way down the mountain. I've never skied or snowboarded. Plus? Huge klutz. Yeah, it would have been a disaster.
Great pictures, hon!
Good for you for trying something new! No matter what your skill level was you looked great doing it. It gets easier and easier.
Hey, looks like fun! Busting your ass is probably part of the enjoyment?
